They utterly disrespect Saints who sacrificed their lives for Christ. Though God honors them by raising their names above all worldly leaders, certain factions of protestants speak very badly of Saints and humiliate them even in public. Can they ever lead people to salvation?Why do Protestants preach false doctrine? They deny prayers through Saints!?
I've never heard a protestant speak badly about a saint. Beyond that, it wouldn't really make any sense. For the other part of this question, Praying to a saint is entirely worthless (you still can if you want, but it doen't do any good). Saints aren't God! Even if they could hear your prayers (which I have yet to be convinced of) they have no power to do anything about them.Why do Protestants preach false doctrine? They deny prayers through Saints!?
Can you quote scripture and verse where the Bible teaches us to pray to the saints? Jesus taught us to pray to the Father. There is absolutely no scripture that tells us to pray to Mary, or ';Saint'; Christopher, Paul, Peter, James or anyone else for that matter. All of us are called saints in the scripture. A saint is nothing more than a born again believer in Christ. When we start applying superhuman qualities to a bunch of teenage boys (yes, and the disciples were most likely all in their teens and early twenties) and praying to them as though they were equal to God, we have made idols out of our brothers and sisters in Christ. It is insulting to God to think that we need to ask the 'saints' rather than the Lord Himself. They have no power to grant us anything. Only God does.
Who has been humiliated? Protestants merely believe the bible when it says (1) that Jesus is our high priest...and we go through Him and (2) that the Spirit prays for us with utterances we cannot understand. We do not humiliate saints; we simply do not believe in praying to or through them.
it is a sin to pray to a saint=no matter which one. That does not mean they are not honored, but they should not be glorified.....only GOD GETS THE GLORY. It is plainly written in the Scriptures....
we shall pray: ';Our Father Who art in Heaven..........
peace
Let Scripture answer.
1Tim 2:5 KJV
5For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Where does it say in scripture to even ask saints for help with anything (aka praying to the saints)?
I certainly don't condone bashing any saints, but please show us the scripture doctrine that says we must pray to saints.
It's not right or wrong
Protestant just do it differently
Where in the Bible does it state that purgatory exists?
how CATHOLIC of you...
