It appears from the above verse that some people did not have their name written in the book of life from the foundation of the world.
In Philippinians 4:3 we read, ';And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.';
This verse tells us that Paul, Clement, and other fellowlabourers have their names written in the book of life.
In Revelation 20:12 we read, ';And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and....Is the ';bema seat'; judgement a false doctrine propagated by followers of the works-grace gospel?
The elect do not have to stand for judgment because Christ already was judged in their place.
Philippians 2:5-8 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
1 John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins.
No one can accept Christ either. That is false doctrine.
Romans 9:15-16 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then [it is] not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
Isaiah 64:6-7 But we are all as an unclean [thing], and all our righteousnesses [are] as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. And [there is] none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities.
Romans 3:10-11 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.Is the ';bema seat'; judgement a false doctrine propagated by followers of the works-grace gospel?
Mt 12:36 - But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
We will all have to be held accountable for everything we do. The Bema seat is more of a place that we stand in the likness of Christ, in that we have accepted the free gift of Salvation and we will only have to answer for the ';works'; which we accomplished for the glory of God, since our sins have been removed. Like an athlete that has participated in the Olympic games %26amp; is ';rewarded'; for his efforts.
So shall we be rewarded...
However that will NOT be the case for the ';dead'; and they are ALL dead that do not have the ';Life'; within them, (that Life being Jesus Christ) We are given the free will to remain in death, and not come into the Light, or to choose Life, %26amp; walk in the Light as He is in the Light.
The 'dead' shall be judged by their works alone, and they will not be happy with what happens then! For no works will gain them a ';ticket'; in Heaven. There will be alot of well meaning ';good'; people that still end up in hell, because they NEVER wanted to accept the free gift of God, and invite Jesus Christ into their heart, for He alone is the Way into Heaven!
Since God dwells a place where ';time'; does not exist, at least as we understand time...then ALL things have already been accomplished...(even the Lamb that was slain before the foundation of the World!) God is Omniscience meaning he sees all things from beginning to end. And His ';books'; have been written before even ONE of us was even born.
It is a huge ';concept'; to try %26amp; get your head around!
(In our time sequence)
I'm confused, but not as much as you appear to be.
