Ever since man was created (how ever you believe we were created), his religious beliefs have changed... from earth worship in the neo-lithich, polytheism in ancient times, to mono-theism up until modern times with each claiming that it's predecessors had it all wrong... now Atheism is gaining a foothold on some members of society...





but doesn't that mean that eventually Atheism itself will evolve and be replaced just as previous relogions were and be thought of as a footnote in illogical thinking by primitive man thousands of years in the future???Isn't Atheism just another false Doctrine...? Like Judaism, Christianity, and Islam???
Yes a world without a god of any kind is a creation of imagination. A world with a god is a creation of imagination. There is no god of any kind is a myth. There is a god is a myth. The totality of existence minus the discovery of existence equals the mystery of existence. The mystery of existence makes possible an infinite number, diversity, and variety of myths about self and world. Why should we choose to believe in the truth of a myth that leads us to have a low esteem of self and world when we could choose to believe in the truth of a myth that leads us to have the highest esteem of self and world that we can possibly imagine?Isn't Atheism just another false Doctrine...? Like Judaism, Christianity, and Islam???
Well, you see... atheism is not a doctrine, at all. There is no such thing as atheist beliefs... atheist faith... atheist dogma. The ONLY thing that destinguishes atheists, really, is that they have functional 'bullshit alarms'... and religion makes these bullshit alarms go off.





So, when somebody comes around claiming that we can be 'saved' if we believe that a cosmic Jewish zombie, who is his own father, can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him that you accept him as your master so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced, by a talking snake with legs, to eat a piece of fruit from a magical tree... (etc.)... and that there is something horribly wrong with people who ARE NOT so gullible and droolingly stupid as to believe such outrageously ridiculous codswallop....





...well, some people (the ones who are smart enough) call ';BULLSHIT... THAT IS INSANE...';





... and then the insane people point, and go ';Hssssss.... atheeeisssssttt...';





Really... that's all there is to it. Thats what makes us 'atheists'.

Atheism is not a religion anymore than not believing in Santa Claus is a religion. Despite what you may think you are an atheist on some level. Do you believe in Zeus, or Odin? No? Then you are an atheist as far as those gods go.

I think you're confused about atheism altogether. Atheism is not a fad. There is no belief in god, while the others are just different beliefs in god. It seems like you're implying that atheists will one day believe in god again. Ahh, not this atheist.
Atheism is nothing like religion. Absolutely nothing like it in any way, shape, or form. That would be like saying that believing there is no Santa Claus is like believing in Santa Claus, (because believing there is no Santa Claus is a ';belief';, too) only without the getting presents on Christmas morning part, leaving out cookies and milk part, and the ';believing in him'; part.


Atheists simply do not believe *other* people's stories of magical, invisible, supernatural beings. That's it. There's no ';doctrine'; in atheism that is similar at all to the ';doctrine'; of religion.


And your claims that it's ';false'; or ';illogical'; is your opinion, brought upon by your own illogical beliefs in magical, invisible, supernatural beings. There is NOTHING illogical about not believing in something for which there is NO evidence.


Ask yourself...WHY are believers so desperate to try to claim that atheism is a religion?
Atheism is a conclusion: ';This is what I've seen and understood, and on the basis of that I conclude there is most likely no such thing as a god.';





Doctrine is an assertion, i.e.: ';This is what we believe and if you don't believe it then you're not One Of Us.';

There are so many beliefs because deep down we know that there is something greater than ourselves out there. We yearn for this something. But because man is selfish and wants his own way we twist this yearning into our own version of what we want it to be.

ISLAM JUDAISM AND CHRISTIANITY are true religions from God (Allah) the creator. Athesism is the enemy of these three religions.

Another soora in the koran explains in detail the childs detailed transformation in his mothers stomach, which nonmuslims scientists where shock to proove just a couple of years ago.
Animism is the oldest of spiritual beliefs and it is still practiced today.. polytheism is also practiced today.. the youngest of the belief systems is monotheism, and it's on the decline.. atheism has its place in our society.. rational thought and reason.. a need for proof and evidence keeps us all in balance.

Atheism isn't a doctrine, hon. Believers love to pretend that atheism is just like religious belief, but in fact it is not.

Atheist was originally a pejorative used by religionists to describe people who didn't have a belief in a god. It's a useless word to describe a 'collective' because all atheists are so different, just like all the people who don't believe in Zeus, the Aten, or Isis etc





Maybe 'anti-theism' could become a 'doctrine' , although freedom of thought is arguably the larger motivation behind it's existence than 'doctrine' so I wouldn't like to make a wager on it's future doctrinal prospects.

But it would be false to say atheism is a religion just like it would be false to say 'not supporting the Miami Dolphins' was a religion.

Atheism literally means ';not a theist'; ie, not someone who believes in God. However, religions do exist that are atheistic (Buddhism, for one). Atheism has come to be associated with lack of belief in or allegiance to a religious ideal although this definition is only 1 definition of a term that is more complex.





Doctrines cannot be said to be ';true'; or ';false.'; They are evolving ideas --testaments to the genuis of the human mind--and their validity is in the eye of the beholder or the sensibilities of the individual. The human mind is neurochemically ';wired'; to think spiritually, mystically, magically, and religiously as well was to think pragmatically and scientifically. This will not change. The many doctrines out there are merely so many different ways of explaining a singular human experience.
Atheism is actually different than what we've done for the past 5,000 years. It's not a religion, not bound by a set of rules and a book to tell you how to live, and its not an organized institution (there are no official atheistic organizations).





That and the fact that it's something most people make on an individual basis, not something we're born into like Christianity, Judaism, Islam, etc...at least not usually.

An increase in atheism will simply give people an opportunity to think outside the box ... or rather, the ';book.'; It will allow people to do research, explore, get creative, become uninhibited. They'll stop reciting by rote, preaching to the unhearing, depending on a book they were only TOLD was ';holy.';





They'll be able to make up their own minds and because there'll be so many people enjoying the freedom to think independently, then there'll be less people telling others they're going to hell, they're infidels, they'll burn for eternity, etc.,

Christianity is the only true doctrine which declares in God's word the gospel of Jesus the Christ.
Modern science is on the verge of proving the God Yahweh and His Son Jesus exists. This will over time lead to proving all other religions wrong including Atheists and forcing all of mankind into a one world belief system.
