Christians: What do you think we should do when one of our own perpetuates a ';false doctrine';?

. . . and NOT a belief that would separate them from salvation, either. For example, Eternal Security, the ';once saved always saved'; belief is a division. Those on either ';side'; (regardless of *my* opinion) honestly believe that the other ';side'; is wrong, BUT neither belief, imho, would preclude salvation.

Do you ';live and let live';? Do you initiate a discussion? Does it really matter?

And NO, this is NOT intended to debate Eternal Security -- that was ONLY an example.

Thanks all!Christians: What do you think we should do when one of our own perpetuates a ';false doctrine';?
Well I would say let us Talk about it and not allow it to devide us, in other words let us agree to disagree agreeablyChristians: What do you think we should do when one of our own perpetuates a ';false doctrine';?
If I say to the wicked, 'You shall surely die,' and you give them no warning, or speak to warn the wicked from their wicked way, in order to save their life, those wicked persons shall die for their iniquity; but their blood I will require at your hand. But if you warn the wicked, and they do not turn from their wickedness, or from their wicked way, they shall die for their iniquity; but you will have saved your life. Ezekiel 3:18-19
It depends on the severity of the subject in point.

Example: I view the speaking in tongues as a private prayer language found in some churches today to be un-Biblical. I have a few friends who disagree and indulge in that particular practice. Still, we love one another dearly. They don't expect me to start it and I don't expect them to stop.

With some subjects it's best to let it slide and we will find out the truth in eternity. You can't ever tell, it's possible BOTH views are correct!
Come on !!! are you saying that with in your church, even there you are divided? Is there no end of removing the doctrines handed down? is this the start of yet another church forming? Once saved always saved, where is that in the bible? does that mean I who have been baptised can now go out and do what ever I like, because I no longer need to adhere to God and his commandments? My advice to you and all is to get back to the church that Jesus set down for all to follow, the church that has one teaching for all!!! You all seem very confused about simple truth,At least get out of that church is my advice.
I think it depends on where you encounter the person, what they said, and how it was said. If the timing is right for a discussion, (not an attack on their beliefs), then ask them why they believe whatever they stated to be true.
Share the message of the gospel and move on. We're here to win souls for the Kingdom. A house divided cannot stand.

Blessings.
Pray about it and leave the judgments to God as is taught us.
