Universalism... is the doctrine false?

If it is true, how will this impact people? Is this the good news?

Christian Universalism: The belief that everything in heaven and on earth will ulitmately be reconciled back to the Creator through the work of Jesus Christ, his Son. In plain language, no one is going to be endlessly tortured as has been commonly taught. The teaching has been in the church since its inception. The ancient church fathers called it in by its name found in the Greek New Testament, apokatastasis, the is, the ';restoration of all things.'; (Acts 3:21) It has also be known simply by the name universalism, sometimes it's called ';Biblical Universalism. It's been known by Ultimate Reconciliation, Universal Salvation, Universal Restoration, The Larger Hope, The Greater Faith, the Doctrine of Inclusion. I, Gary Amirault, like to call it the ';Victorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul, the apostle called it the ';Glorious Gospel.';Universalism... is the doctrine false?
NoUniversalism... is the doctrine false?
Universalism is not scriptural.....

Salvation is for all those who accept Jesus Christ as Savior here and now...

No one will be given another chance to do so after death.

You either say yes to Christ now....or suffer the eternal consequences

Edit:

The word catholic means ';universal';......go figure....yet another bad doctrine from them
I believe the Bible is the only thing to put my trust in. The doctrine of an unending hell is not in the Bible. I believe the wicked will perish after burning long enough to have all their sins destroyed! God's going to make a new heaven and a new earth where no sin will ever raise its ugly head again! Read the last few chapters of the last book of the Bible - Revelation 10-21. Check our www.3abn.org
Sounds interesting.......I shall look into it more, I like what I hear so far. THX
Yes. Universalism is the teaching that through the atonement of Jesus, every person who ever lived will ultimately be saved. Does the Bible teach that everyone who has ever lived will be saved? No. It doesn't. At Matt. 12:32, Jesus said: ';For example, whoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the holy spirit, it will not be forgiven him, no, not in this system of things nor in that to come.';
Humans have great imaginations. They created their gods and religions. Millions of fictional stories have been written about their gods and heavens and souls and hells, etc. But these are all stories, not factual at all.
Like all religious doctrine, it is false. Other than the bible (a biased, unreliable and demonstrably inconsistent source) can you cite one single shred of evidence for the existence of any deity, let alone a mandated doctrine?

It really sounds like a case of give the weak, the gullible, the bereft what they want to hear, and they'll send you money. Like any doctrine, it preys on peoples fears and uncertainties, and rather than directing towards logic and reason (which understand that, as yet, we do not have explainations for everything) it serves a universal cure all for a panacea of ills, and cannot document its ability to deliver. if it were a legitimate business every fair practices court in the country would be churning out findings against it. Religion belongs in the section under astrology, as an entertainment at best, and like most entertainments, a tool to wrest the concerns of the population away from the real, sovable, practical issues.
sounds ok without the christian bit
You mean the idea that God is infinitely merciful and loves all his creation?

I think you can find plenty of scriptural evidence for that.

Hell isn't real; it's metaphorical. As if God would be so cruel! It never ceases to astonish me just how twisted the human imagination can be.
