Why do most Christians believe the false doctrine of the trinity?

During the time of the Messiah, there was no such thing as the trinity. The messiah clearly claimed that his father was in heaven, and prayed to him often. And the voice from heaven said:

Matthew 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Father and Son, the Son is not the father.

It was in 325 AD that Constantine introduced the trinity doctrine which the Catholic church and protestant church continue to preach today.Why do most Christians believe the false doctrine of the trinity?
The teachings of the Church contradict the teachings of Jesus (pbuh) and that is the cause of the confusion.

If a sincere christian who wants to follow Jesus (peace be upon him), asks priests about trinity, the answer that he gets is ';It is a Mystery, not explained by Jesus (pbuh) clearly';, at that time again those forget that Jesus (pbuh) said,

';I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where the Jews always meet, and in secret I have said nothing'; (John 18:20 (NKJ)).

If trinity is confusing enough to be called a mystery, it cannot be from God. Because:

';God is not a God of confusion.';—1 Corinthians 14:33, Revised Standard Version (RS).

There was no mystery in the message of Jesus (pbuh), nothing secret. Will you accept the priests' so called ';mystery of trinity'; and forget clear commandments of Jesus (pbuh)?

Jesus (pbuh) clearly said:

A) Mark 12:29: ';the Lord our God, the lord is One';.

B) Metthew: 26:39: ';He went a little farther and fell on His face and prayed'; (Following Jesus (pbuh) way is following what he did). Jesus (pbuh) prayed to one God

C) Matthew 4:10 ';You shall worship the Lord, your God, and him only you shall serve';

D) John 5:19: ';Most truly I say to you, the son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative but only what he beholds the father doing.';

E) John 7:16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me

F) Matthew 27:46: ';Eloi (Allah?) , Eloi, lama sabachthani?'; -- which means, ';My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?';

(G)Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: John 8:54

The trinity is a doctrine from about the year 325 AD, It has its roots in polytheism, It is not in the bible unless you really, really stretch it to fit. Jesus didn't have to hide the concept of trinity if it were the basis of salvation.

The New Catholic Encyclopedia - 1967, VOL. XIV, PAGE 299:

The formulation ';one God in three Persons'; was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, PRIOR TO THE END OF THE 4TH CENTURY. But it is precisely this formulation that first claimed to title ';The Trinitarian Dogma. AMONG THE APOSTOLIC FATHERS, THERE HAD BEEN NOTHING EVEN REMOTELY APPROACHING SUCH A MENTALITY OR PERSPECTIVE.

You should not accept the word “son” literally . Word ';son'; was used in bible for general human beings and other prophets also. ';we all are the children of father in heavens'; indicates that word ';son'; was used in different meaning of love and care. Mathew: 5:9. ';Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the sons of God.”

Jesus , Moses, Mohammad (peace be upon them), they all worshiped the same God, the God of Ibrahim (pbuh). All prophets taught ';surrendering one's will to God'; that is the meaning of word ';Islam';. JAMES 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Muslims love Jesus (pbuh), they believe in his miraculous birth with the will of God without a father or sexual act (the way Adam was born without a mother and father), , they believe in miracles that Jesus (pbuh) performed with permission of God, muslims faith demands them to believe Jesus (pbuh) was a great prophet of God and belief in the original message of Jesus (pbuh) the massaya.

There was just not one holy book sent by God on earth through His messengers. The last testiment ';Quran'; had to be there from the same source, revealed to the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh), an illiterate person who didn't know how to read or write) some 600 years after Jesus (pbuh) corrects the errors that crept (knowingly or unknowingly) into the message that Jesus (pbuh) brought. Unlike Bible that was written after decades after Jesus by people who never met Jesus, this book was not preserved on paper or in one church but in hearts of thousands of muslims who memorised Quran word by word the way it was revealved. Quran should prove to be a very valuable asset to both Muslims and Christians.

Quran: [4:171] O people of the scripture, do not transgress the limits of your religion, and do not say about GOD except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus (pbuh), the son of Mary, was a messenger of GOD, and His word that He had sent to Mary, and a revelation from Him. Therefore, you shall believe in GOD and His messengers. You shall not say, ';Trinity.'; You shall refrain from this for your own good. GOD is only one god. Be He glorified; He is much too glorious to have a son. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. GOD suffices as Lord and Master. [5:73] Pagans indeed are those who say that GOD is a third of a trinity. There is no god except the one god. Unless they refrain from saying this, those who disbelieve among them will incur a painful retribution.Why do most Christians believe the false doctrine of the trinity?
I dont think you have any idea what you are talking about.

first of all some people may have formed different ideas about this trinity and what it means.

and thinking that just because it says that hes his son and the son cant be the father doesnt mean they arnt the same thing (hard to put in words) your thinking of it in the physical sense when its a religion not a family wow.

oh and btw more than likely your religion is another false doctorine formed from ideas of the christian church theres so many different religions that strained out from the real thing it blinded everyone into thinking it didnt matter what one you are a part of.
They do not study and believe the written Scripture. they just go by whatever their false church tells them.

Jesus was not God. He was a human man. God is a full kingdom made up of many members. He is not a singular being as most folks want to think. It is not taught in Scripture. So, God is ONE. what does that mean?

Jesus prayed that we ALL will be ONE as they are ONE. John 17

No one ever seems to want to deal with this. so they never get to the truth.
Because of tradition.

Sad.
You got it girl! No Trinity!

The New Encyclopædia Britannica says: “Neither the word Trinity, nor the explicit doctrine as such, appears in the New Testament, nor did Jesus and his followers intend to contradict the Shema in the Old Testament: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord’ (Deuteronomy 6:4). . . . The doctrine developed gradually over several centuries and through many controversies. . . . By the end of the 4th century . . . the doctrine of the Trinity took substantially the form it has maintained ever since.”—(1976), Micropædia, Vol. X, p. 126.

The New Catholic Encyclopedia states: “The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.”—(1967), Vol. XIV, p. 299.

Matthew 26:39, RS: “Going a little farther he [Jesus Christ] fell on his face and prayed, ‘My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.’” (If the Father and the Son were not distinct individuals, such a prayer would have been meaningless. Jesus would have been praying to himself, and his will would of necessity have been the Father’s will.)
I totally agree with you The Master Jesus told us to look within our own being as he did and at about age 28 he made contact with the Christ of his own being Hence Jesus the Christ it's at this point in his life that The I of Jesus and God became one, united in Heaven.

I am a Christian but an unorthodox one as I also believe as do a lot of others in reincarnation. The reality of our being is Spirit inhabiting a biological body. Jesus told us that since before Abraham he was and always shall be, He also told us that what he has done we also could do and more. The personal sense of life that we live here for 70 or 80 years is for our spiritual selfhood for learning and evolving, Jesus and a few others have evolved into what's called the Christ Consciousness in their Human life cycle and have tried to communicate how we to could do the same but the message has repeatedly gotten diluted by dogmatic churches who want you to think that there interpretation of of holy scripture or writings is the only true way and on top of that they

most end up worshiping the messenger rather than the life force that created this universe and is still creating and expanding it.

This thing called God ,Life or the Universe, or the universal mind is everywhere present, all-power, all intelligent, what that means to us is that Life as far as you can see it or imagine it is alive, intelligent and there is no power to challenge it The human personal sense (EGO) would like to be in control of your life and it may for a period of time do quite well, however sooner or later every human being is going to evolve to point that they find their connection to their REAL self within their own being. After all that's where Jesus told to look for God (Within), it's called the Christ Spirit and you can experience it going ahead of you and making the crooked ways straight. Similarly to the experience of an animal's fur, that thickens just at the right time, like it knows that the cold is on the way. SO TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION neither one of these two is any better off. 1) the atheist is living in an ego sense un aware of his real identity, probably experiencing a mild form of Hell since he must feel that he is all alone

with no where to go when this personal sense of life is over. 2) Has already been experiencing Hell during this lifetime, I know I wouldn't want to be walking in his shoes. BOTH MEN will automatically be forgiven as they turn to God because this Life Force that has and is Creating all that exists anywhere in the Universe is an impersonal Life Force, when you come into compliance with the laws that make it all work it is similar to trying to paddle a canoe upstream in a steady current, then when you turn and come into alignment with it suddenly it requires almost no effort, all you need to do give a gentle touch here or there to stay on the correct path. Jesus gave us several principles to live by, these principles such as forgiveness,loving gone another as we would be loved,learning to not judge others or situations, these seem unnatural to the Human Ego Sense, but are really effective in bringing a sense of deep peace and understanding to our Life.God is just because every one on the planet has to deal with the same set of principles sooner or later. God is impersonal so it really doesn't care if you get it now or you get 200 tears from now. However when you make that contact with the Christ of yourself, it is as a loving Father to you. Thanks for the Great Question.....Skipper

There is, apparently, a subordination within the Trinity in regard to order but not substance or essence. We can see that the Father is first, the Son is second, and the Holy Spirit is third. The Father is not begotten, but the Son is (John 3:16). The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father (John 5:26). The Father sent the Son (1 John 4:10). The Son and the Father send the Holy Spirit (John 14:26; 15:26). The Father creates (Isaiah 44:24), the Son redeems (Gal. 3:13), and the Holy Spirit sanctifies (Rom. 15:16).

This subordination of order does not mean that each of the members of the Godhead are not equal or divine. For example, we see that the Father sent the Son. But this does not mean that the Son is not equal to the Father in essence and divine nature. The Son is equal to the Father in his divinity, but inferior in his humanity. A wife is to be subject to her husband but this does not negate her humanity, essence, or equality. By further analogy, a king and his servant both share human nature. Yet, the king sends the servant to do his will. Jesus said, ';For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me'; (John 6:38). Of course Jesus already is King, but the analogy shows that because someone is sent, it doesn't mean they are different than the one who sent him.

Critics of the Trinity will see this subordination as proof that the Trinity is false. They reason that if Jesus were truly God, then He would be completely equal to God the Father in all areas and would not, therefore, be subordinate to the Father in any way. But this objection is not logical. If we look at the analogy of the king and in the servant we certainly would not say that the servant was not human because he was sent. Being sent does not negate sameness in essence. Therefore, the fact that the Son is sent does not mean that He is not divine any more than when my wife sends me to get bread, I am not human.

Is this confusing?

Another important point about the Trinity is that it can be a difficult concept to grasp. But this does not necessitate an argument against its validity. On the contrary, the fact that it is difficult is an argument for its truth. The Bible is the self revelation of an infinite God. Therefore, we are bound to encounter concepts which are difficult to understand -- especially when dealing with an incomprehensible God who exists in all places at all times. So, when we view descriptions and attributes of God manifested in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we discover that a completely comprehensible and understandable explanation of God's essence and nature is not possible. What we have done, however, is derive from the Scripture the truths that we can grasp and combine them into the doctrine we call The Trinity. The Trinity is, to a large extent, a mystery. After all, we are dealing with God Himself.

It is the way of the cults to reduce biblical truth to make God comprehensible and understandable by their minds. To this end, they subject God's word to their own reasoning and end in error. The following verses are often used to demonstrate that the doctrine of the Trinity is indeed biblical.

Matt. 28:18, ';Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,';

1 Cor. 12:4-6, ';Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. 6And there are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons.';

2 Cor. 13:14, ';The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.';

Eph. 4:4-7, ';There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. 7But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.';

1 Pet. 1:2, ';according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be yours in fullest measure.';

Jude 20-21, ';But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith; praying in the Holy Spirit; 21keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal
WrongGod is a trinity of persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father is not the same person as the Son; the Son is not the same person as the Holy Spirit; and the Holy Spirit is not the same person as Father. They are not three gods and not three beings. They are three distinct persons; yet, they are all the one God. Each has a will, can speak, can love, etc., and these are demonstrations of personhood. They are in absolute perfect harmony consisting of one substance. They are coeternal, coequal, and copowerful. If any one of the three were removed, there would be no God. (See also, ';Another Look at the Trinity';)

Jesus, the Son, is one person with two natures: Divine and Human. This is called the Hypostatic Union. The Holy Spirit is also divine in nature and is self aware, the third person of the Trinity.

There is, though, an apparent separation of some functions among the members of the Godhead. For example, the Father chooses who will be saved (Eph. 1:4); the Son redeems them (Eph. 1:7); and the Holy Spirit seals them, (Eph. 1:13).

A further point of clarification is that God is not one person, the Father, with Jesus as a creation and the Holy Spirit as a force (Jehovah's Witnesses). Neither is He one person who took three consecutive forms, i.e., the Father, became the Son, who became the Holy Spirit. Nor is God the divine nature of the Son (where Jesus had a human nature perceived as the Son and a divine nature perceived as the Father (Oneness theology). Nor is the Trinity an office held by three separate Gods (Mormonism).

The word ';person'; is used to describe the three members of the Godhead because the word ';person'; is appropriate. A person is self aware, can speak, love, hate, say ';you,'; ';yours,'; ';me,'; ';mine,'; etc. Each of the three persons in the Trinity demonstrate these qualities.

The chart below should help you to see how the doctrine of the Trinity is systematically derived from Scripture. The list is not exhaustive, only illustrative.

The first step is to establish the biblical doctrine that there is only one God. Then, you find that each of the persons is called God, each creates, each was involved in Jesus' resurrection, each indwells, etc. Therefore, God is one, but the one God is in three simultaneous persons. Please note that the idea of a composite unity is not a foreign concept to the Bible; after all, man and wife are said to be one flesh. The idea of a composite unity of persons is spoken of by God in Genesis (Gen. 2:24).

There is only one God

The first step is to establish how many Gods exist: one! Isaiah 43:10; 44:6,8; 45:5,14,18,21,22; 46:9; 47:8; John 17:3; 1 Cor. 8:5-6; Gal. 4:8-9

';I am the LORD, and there is no other; besides Me there is no God,'; (Isaiah 45:5).

“Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel And his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: ‘I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me,'; (Isaiah 44:6).

';I am the Lord, and there is no other; besides Me there is no God,'; (Isaiah 55:5).
It is a difficult theological schism to some,but i never found it difficult to appreciate from a spiritual stance.

I see Three Spiritual qualities in ONE.

The Creator,the Spiritual Force %26amp; the Manifestation of God's Nature and Will shown to us through Christ, God's First Begotten with the Spirit of Redemption. Therefore to me ,I believe in the Father Creator,The Word Jesus the Christ %26amp; the Holy Ghost of the Father %26amp; the Son as THREE in ONE.

Now we can dispute till doomsday as i'm sure some will but for me this understanding come to me after much doubt i had myself for i could not understand for many yrs.and i am satified %26amp; comfortable with what i believe now.

You should consider God is not organic but a spiritual force and becomes any form or a thousand forms or three forms.God is Limitless. The Trinity is not 3 heads floating around but three forces,spiritual Forces,working in harmony for the good of the cosmis,which is to me the creative force,and womb of creativity,the Word or manefestation of this happening to organic awareness,and the Power of this great light,and wisdom in all its glory,pulling into One, three elements into one element causing the tree of life or immortality to come into Being%26lt;%26gt;

The Hindu Religion believes in ONE God %26amp; yet they believe God has a thousand arms if you like,which is symbolic that God can take any form or as many forms as it pleases God to be.

The creation story is not that far off the christian creation either ,and i think personally Hindu is a very deep,profound %26amp; beautiful religion which i am not but i am able to respect.%26lt;%26gt;
Why does anyone believe any of the BS about religion, the Trinity and all?! That's a better question.
