How is it possible for God to use someone to win souls if they taught false doctrine ?

Ihave heard that John Wesley and Charles Finney were mightily used by God to win souls. Yet, I heard that wesley taught ';false'; doctrine with his perfectionist views, and that Finney denied the Atonement of Christ and that we are saved by works. How can God have used people like these?How is it possible for God to use someone to win souls if they taught false doctrine ?
YHVH works to bring every individual to an understanding and acceptance of truth. He will use our imperfect understanding to lead others closer to Himself. YAHOSHUA does not have to wait for a perfect man to work His wonders.How is it possible for God to use someone to win souls if they taught false doctrine ?
it depends on how close the view is to the center of Christian belief. some beliefs are more important than others (like the Trinity vs. the 1,000 year kingdom)





it also depends on whether they're ACTUALLY teaching false doctrine. what you ';hear'; about someone and what they really say in their own writings and speeches are two different things.
Hardly. He was a good churchman and he reforms he made at a time when the poor were ignorned are outstanding, we are talking 1703. Under Wesley's direction, Methodists became leaders in many social justice issues of the day, including the prison reform and abolitionism movements. Christian Perfection is about the holiness of heart and life. Just look at the kooks out there now and their Gospel of Prosperity and idiots like Rush Limbaugh or Sarah Palin that represent what I call the America's version of the Taliban. John Wesley left a legacy of preaching, reformed thinking and even a few good hymns.
This reminds me of the Bible college I attended years ago. This particular denomination is quick to point out that they are the only true church and that everybody else in in error, but they are so small they don't have that much scholarly literature so they use textbooks written by the very people they say are lost. I asked a professor about this, and he admitted his favorite Christian author was probably going to hell. And he said that like that made sense for him to use his books in his class anyway. I am so glad I am out of that craziness!
To teach them a lesson, he gives us the opportunity to get a point of view across, but he knows it will never work, so he looks and speaks condescendingly, so many of us can see through this method of control. The people of this planet work together to give everyone the best opportunity to enjoy there existence here, it's a mind test, that we all must hold it together to get through the rough times, it want be long before you will notice that happy feeling once again when necessary and the sadness when necessary naturally.

God didn't....they just came.





God sends those that have HIS truth.


You will know them by what they do..(fruit).





That's why it's ';imperative'; to 'study'; or at the least read your own Bible. Do what the ';Nobles'; did when some teacher or preacher came to teach.


They searched the 'scriptures to see if what they were saying was true.

I think you perhaps should fall back and regroup for it is apparent that you have misunderstood what you were told. You can not but your way into Heaven. They didn't do anymore for the glory of God then say Billy Graham or Joyce Myers.
Maybe satan is using them.
Because God can use anyone for his good purpose ... even Satan.
